SECI launches tenders for 950 MW solar capacity

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced two new tenders for 950 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Of the total, 750 MW of capacity will come up in Andhra Pradesh where three projects of 250 MW each will be set up at the Kadapa Solar Park. Each project will comprise five phases of 50 MW each. Meanwhile, the remaining 200 MW of capacity will come up in Karnataka and it will be allocated across four 50 MW plants located in the Pavagada Solar Park. SECI has set the maximum tariff payable to solar developers at Rs 2.93 per unit for both the projects. The plants will be installed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) Phase II Batch IV.
