Siemen Gamesa signs MoU for exploring off-shore wind opportunity in Taiwan

Turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA has entered into a non-binding MoU with the Yeong Guan Energy Technology Group (YGG), a China-based metals manufacturing company, to develop the Taichung Harbour for offshore wind activities in Taiwan. In December 2017, the company signed an MoU with the Taiwan International Ports Corporation for turning the harbour into an offshore wind hub. Siemens Gamesa will provide advice and support to YGG with regard to offshore wind quality and compliance. However, no timeline has been fixed for the completion of the cooperation agreement.
