UK’s Oracle Power receives approval for coal-fired power plant in Pakistan

Pakistan’s Private Power and Infrastructure Board has granted approval to UK-based Oracle Power and its partners for the development of a 700 MW coal-fired power plant in Sindh province. Oracle has collaborated with Chinese state-owned companies, the Sichuan Provincial Investment Group and the Power China International Group, for the execution of this project and both the partner companies are expected to take their final decision by September 2019. Oracle plans to award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts once the partner companies start investing in the project.
