AES India Private Limited, a subsidiary of US-based AES Corporation, and Mitsubishi Corporation have jointly started the construction of a 10 MW utility-scale energy storage system in Delhi. The system will be operated by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and is being deployed at a substation in Rohini that is operated by the discom. It is slated for completion by December 2018.
