Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Limited has commissioned the 400 kV double circuit Nizamabad-Shankarapally and 400 kV Maheshwaram-Mahboobnagar power transmission lines in Telangana. Maheshwaran Transmission Limited, a special purpose vehicle of Sterlite Power, will own and operate the two lines aggregating 236 km under the build-own-operate-maintain mode for a period of 35 years. The lines will increase the power offtake capacity of the state by 1,000 MW.
