Uttar Pradesh government plans to phase out old TPPs

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to phase out three old state-owned TPPs. These TPPs are: Panki II (220 MW), Parichha Stage I (220 MW) and Anpara A (630 MW). In a separate development, several private players including Adani Power Limited, Essel Infraprojects Private Limited and Azure Power have shown interest in setting up projects under the Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy, 2017.
