Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for the 765 kV Vindhyachal-Varanasi transmission line. The Rs 10 billion project is a part of the New Western Region-Northern Region interregional corridor. Other companies, that participated in the tender include Essel Infra Projects Limited, Sterlite Power Grid Ventures, China Southern Power Grid International Company and L&T Infrastructure.
