GE signs agreement with SPG for 1,440 MW CCPP in Malaysia

US-based General Electric’s (GE) power services business has signed a multi-year agreement with Malaysia-based Southern Power Generation (SPG) for its 1,440 MW CCPP in Johor, Malaysia. Under the 21-year agreement, GE will deliver services solutions for two GE 9HA.02 gas turbines for the plant along with technical advisory services. In addition, the company will deploy its Predix asset performance management system to improve asset visibility, reliability and availability of SPG’s plant. The combined services and digital solutions will help support the long-term maintenance for the first HA-based plant in the country.
