Samsung C&T wins EPC contract for 1,760 MW power plant in Indonesia

The Samsung C&T Corporation has received an EPC contract worth $1 billion from PT JawaSatu Power to build a 1,760 MW CCPP in Cilamaya, Indonesia. Samsung C&T has formed a consortium with GE and PT MeindoElang Indah for developing the project. The plant will be owned and operated by PT JawaSatu Power, a joint venture between state-owned Pertamina and Japan’s Marubeni and Sojitz Corporation. It is the first integrated power project in Malaysia and is planned to be commissioned by 2021.
