Wind turbine manufacturer Senvion SA has secured a contract from ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited to deliver wind turbines for the 101.2 MW Bhuwad wind project in Gujarat. Senvion will supply and install 44 units of turbines for the project, and will also be responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M) of the plant for 10 years. The project is a part of Round 2 bidding by SECI and is expected to be completed by February 2019. Once completed, it will generate power to meet the annual consumption of nearly 100,000 households in the state. In a separate development, Senvion has also secured a contract to build the 30 MW Tithwa wind farm in Gujarat for ENGIE. Senvion will also provide O&M services for the project for a period of 10 years. The project is expected to be completed by March 2019.
