China plans a 525 MW HEP on the Wujiang River

The Chinese government is planning to develop a 525 MW hydropower plant on the Wujiangriver in Southwest China. The Baima project has received approval from China’s National Development and Reform Commission and is expected to entail an investment of $1.6 billion. It will have design energy of 1.76 BUs per annum.
