Spanish wind parks developer and operator Elawan Energy (erstwhile Gestamp Wind) has signed a 20-year long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) to develop a 102 MW Copperton wind power project in South Africa. The project will be located in Northern Cape Province and is expected to entail an investment of over $177 million. The construction of the project is likely to commence during the second half of 2018 and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
