Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has received a full-scope EPC contract for the 45 MW Al Shobak wind farm in Jordan. The contract has been awarded by Shobak Wind Energy PSC, a subsidiary of Dubai-based Alcazar Energy. Under the contract, Vestas will supply, transport, instal and commission 13 units of its V136-3.45 MW turbine at the wind farm, as well as operate and maintain the plant for a period of five years. The turbines are expected to be delivered by June 2019 and the project is slated for completion in December 2019.
