TEBA initiates construction of a new 500 kV transmission project in Tajikistan

Chinese Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Company Limited (TBEA) has initiated construction works on a new 500 kV transmission line project designed to evacuate electricity from the Rogun hydroelectric plant (HEP) in Tajikistan. The project will involve the construction of a 100 km long, double circuit transmission line connecting Dushanbe substation with the HEP. The feasibility study for the project was also carried out by TBEA. The HEP is expected to become operational by 2018.
