CEA releases draft guidelines for T&D equipment and technologies

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has released the draft guidelines for usage of various transmission and distribution equipment and technologies. These include pad or pole-mounted distribution transformer (DT) substations, air-insulated and gas-insulated substations, underground cable systems, overhead conductors, communication systems for advanced metering infrastructure, and DTs. In addition, draft guidelines have been released on automation in power distribution, and power quality and safety issues in solar rooftop systems. The CEA has sought comments from stakeholders on the draft guidelines.
