Essar Power Limited has signed an MoU with Russian firm Inter RAO Export to jointly develop power projects in India. Under the agreement, both the companies will explore opportunities for joint investment in new coal-based power assets, including associated coal mines,as well as brownfield expansion of the existing coal-based power plants in the country.
