The MoP has launched a web portal and an app named Praapti (Payment Ratification and Analysis in Power Procurement for bringing Transparency in invoicing of Generators) to bring transparency in power purchase transactions between generators and discoms. The portal will provide invoicing and payment data for various long-term PPAs from the generators and will help the stakeholders to get month-wise data on the outstanding amount by the discoms. The portal will also provide updates on the payment made by the discoms and would facilitate the relative assessment of various state discoms on the “ease of making payments” to various gencos.
