TPREL bags contract to set up 150 MW solar project in Maharashtra

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has received a contract for setting up a 150 MW solar project in Maharashtra. The project is part of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s 1,000 MW grid-connection solar power project, for which bids were invited through competitive bidding. TPREL will sign a 25-year, long-term PPA with the discom. In a separate development, TPREL has signed an agreement with GE to provide solar rooftop solutions for GE’s six manufacturing and service sites in India on a build, own, andoperate basis.
