Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL), a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has won the FAME Excellence Safety Award (Gold) for best safety practices and implementation of workplace safety norms. Pramod Kumar Singh, head, fire and safety, CGPL, received the award on behalf of the company at an event held in Dehradun on July 29, 2018. The award, given by the Foundation for Accelerated Mass Empowerment (FAME), recognises industries for implementing the best occupational health and safety systems, processes and practices.
