South Korea’s Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (DHIC) has signed a 15-year maintenance contract with Korea Offshore Wind Power for Phase I (60 MW) of the Southwest Wind Farm, the largest offshore wind project in South Korea. Under the contract, DHIC will be responsible for guaranteeing the operation rate of the turbines on the offshore wind farm and providing operations and maintenance services. Phase I of the project will involve the installation of 20 turbines totalling 60 MW. The project is slated for completion in 2019.
