Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured two orders worth Rs 10 billion for supplying emission control equipment from Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO). The orders involve the supply and installation of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems for controlling SOx emissions at TSGENCO’s 800 MW Kothagudem thermal power station (TPS) and 1,080 MW Bhadradri TPS in Telangana. The order for the Bhadradri TPS also includes modification in the boiler and electrostatic precipitators to meet the revised emission norms. BHEL is currently executing these projects on an engineering, procurement and construction basis.
