EGEMAC bags $605 million substation contract in Egypt

The Egyptian Germany Electric Manufacturing Company (EGEMAC) has won a contract worth $605 million for the construction of five transformer substations for the Egyptian New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). EGEMAC will implement two substations in New Cairo, one in Badr, a 66 kV substation in Qena, and a 220 kV substation in Obour. Reportedly, NUCA is preparing the contract, which would be signed by both the parties by next month. The duration of the contract is 10 to 12 months.
