SFW wins a contract to supply boiler for a biomass power plant in South Korea

Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW), a unit of Japan’s Sumitomo Heavy Industries Limited, has won a contract from Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company Limited for the design and supply of the boiler island for the 109 MW Daesan biomass power plant in South Korea. Under the contract, Sumitomo will design and supply a circulating fluidised bed steam generator and auxiliary equipment for the boiler island. The facility will be commercially operational by end 2020 and will be owned and operated by a unit of CGN New Energy Holdings Company Limited.
