The Gujarat government is likely to approve tariff revision with fuel cost pass-through for Adani Power’s 4,620 MW Mundra thermal power project (TPP), Tata Power’s 4,000 MW Mundra ultra mega power project (UMPP) and Essar Power’s 1,200 MW Salaya TPP in Gujarat. The high-powered committee set up by the state government has suggested that the PPAs need revision since the changes in the Indonesian regulation have led to an increase in imported coal prices. The committee has recommended that the fuel cost pass-through can be revised after five years based on coal price movements.
