The NEA has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Sushmit Enery Private Limited to purchase 20 MW of electricity generated by the upcoming 24.78 MW Kunban Khola Hydropower Project (KKHP). The project is located in the Mudi rural municipality of Myagdi district in Nepal and will annually generate 115.515 GWh of electricity (17.553 GWh in the dry season and 97.961 GWh in the wet season). The generated electricity will be delivered to the NEA’s proposed Dandakhet 132 kVA substation through a 20 km transmission line. The rate of electricity has been fixed at Rs 4.80 and Rs 8.40 per unit for the wet season and dry season respectively. The project is expected to be completed by 2024 at an estimated investment of Rs 3.8 billion.
