BESCOM sets up city’s second EV charging station

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has introduced the city’s second electric vehicle (EV) charging station. The station has been set up on the premises of the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission. BESCOM plans to set up a network of charging stations at 11 identified BESCOM-owned locations and the work is expected to be completed within six months. The state’s transport department will also tie up with BESCOM to provide charging facilities at 120 places in the city including IT parks, shopping malls, metro stations, airports and Bengaluru Development Authority complexes.
