PTC India Limited signed a $1.8 billion deal with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on October 9, 2018 to supply 200 MW of power. PTC has signed two new agreements for supplying 200 MW on short- and long-term basis for 15 years. The short-term power will be supplied from the power pool of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, while the long-term power will be supplied through an imported coal project of Meenakshi Energy Limited.
