Sembcorp Industries has commissioned the 225 MW gas-fired Myingyan power plant in Mandalay, Myanmar. The power plant is expected to generate 1,500 GWh of power, which will be supplied to Myanmar’s Electric Power Generation Enterprise. The $300 million plant uses combined cycle gas turbine technology, which allows it to maximise the power output while minimising emissions.
