Sterlite Power has doubled the capacity of critical transmission corridors in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, two months ahead of scheduled completion. The upgraded transmission line on the Gajokhar-Manduadih and Varanasi Cantt-LILO point will transfer 1,600 Amp, up from 700 Amp earlier, resulting in a twofold increase. The project was completed within 107 days of shutdown as opposed to 180 days as per the contract.
