ADB has decided to invest $155 million in private Thai genco B.Grimm Power through the issuance of five-year and seven-year green bonds. These green bonds will be the first certified climate bonds to be issued in Thailand. The funds raised from the issue will be used to finance renewable energy projects in Thailand. Reportedly, nine operational solar power projects with a total capacity of 67.7 MW and seven under-construction solar projects with a total capacity of 30.8 MW have been shortlisted for funding.
