Belden Inc.,a leading player in the signal transmission and security solutions for mission-critical applications in enterprise and industrial markets,has inaugurated a manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and proprietary technology to serve Belden’s key markets. With an investment of Rs 2,500 million, the facility was established with support from the Government of India’s mega project programme. The facility is the first “One Belden” factory, with capabilities to serve multiple customer markets and applications of Belden’s group of brands. Further, as part of its commitment towards corporate citizenship, Belden has installed a reverse osmosis water plant at nearby village Bhamboli to provide safe drinking water to nearly 850 people. The capacity is 1,500 litres per hour and it will be operational for 16 hours per day.
