Ugandan government completes 24 MW Kabulasoke Solar Power Park

The Ugandan government has announced the completion of the 24 MW Kabulasoke Solar Power Park. Built at an investment of $25 million, the solar park is reportedly the largest installation in east and central Africa. The project has been developed by a consortium of Uganda’s Xsabo Power Limited and UK-based Great Lakes Africa Energy Limited in conjunction with Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited. The Kabulasoke project will provide electricity to over 5 million people in rural Uganda.
