Afghanistan’s DABS to start work on CASA 1000 project

Afghanistan’s Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) is expected to begin work on the CASA 1000 project simultaneously at three different provinces of Afghanistan in April 2019. The Afghanistan section of the project will cost $460 million, of which the World Bank will finance $360 million and the government will provide the remaining $80 million. The CASA 1000 project is being developed by DABS, the Joint Stock Company National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan, NTDC and the Open Joint Stock Holding Company Barki Tajik of Tajikistan.
