Indonesia’s PLN plans a 275 kV transmission project

Indonesian power company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara PLN (Persero) is planning to complete a 275 kV project that will connect north Sumatra with south Sumatra in 2019. The electricity corridor will run from Lahat in south Sumatra to Galang in north Sumatra. The key components of the transmission network project have been completed, with works on only the connection between Sarulla and Simangkok still ongoing. The transmission corridor, which spans around 2,223 circuit km, will connect substations located in Lahat, Muara Enim, Lubung Linggau, Muara Bungo, Padang Sidempuan, Sarulla, Simangkok and Galang.
