NTPC lends support to cyclone-hit Odisha

NTPC Limited has taken a series of initiatives to restore normalcy in cyclone-hit Odisha. These include the provision of three DG sets, 100 km of conductors and 1,000 poles. A five-member team has been provided power saws to remove fallen trees and around 350 people are working with the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha. NTPC has also extended medical support to residents. In coordination with the director, health services, it has set up medical camps at Penthakata and Chandrabhaga in Puri. A team comprising six doctors and five paramedics has attended to over 250 people who visited the camps on May 6, 2019.
