Guarantee Risk Solar Energy and Bushveld Energy to develop solar projects in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe-based private company Guarantee Risk Solar Energy and South Africa-based Bushveld Energy will jointly develop three solar projects in Zimbabwe with a combined capacity of 250 MW. The overall investment in the three projects is expected to be over $400 million. One of the facilities, of 100 MW capacity, will be installed in Goromonzi district, in Mashonaland East Province, while another one of the same size will be located in Bulawayo in the Matabeleland region. The third photovoltaic plant will have a capacity of 50 MW and will be located in the capital Harare.
