ABB’s double-break disconnectors operate as shields that isolate power equipment from the network and ensure the safety and reliability of substations at high altitudes till 3,500 metres above sea level. ABB’s 66 kV and 145 kV disconnectors with ice-breaking capacity have been deployed at the Leh, Khalsti, Drass and Kargil substations of Power Grid Corporation of India.
