The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) has set generic levellised tariffs for solar PV for a period of six months between October 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020. The tariffs apply to solar PV projects which are installed by consumers within their premises (rooftop or ground mounted) under the net metering programme. For projects up to 1 MW, the tariff has been fixed at Rs 3.98 per unit (for rural areas) and at Rs 4.06 per unit (for industrial and urban areas). Tariffs for projects over 1 MW and up to 5 MW have been fixed at Rs 3.94 per unit (for rural areas) and Rs 4.02 per unit (for industrial and urban areas).
