The US Trade and Development Agency has awarded a grant of an undisclosed amount to Zambian energy solutions firm Upepo Energy Zambia Limited to finance a feasibility study for a 150 MW wind-solar-battery project, for evaluating the optimal mix of on-site wind, solar and energy storage technologies to deliver power production and services to the Zambian grid. Upepo Energy Zambia Limited has chosen the New York-based WSP USA Inc to carry out the technical and financial analysis for this hybrid project in northern Zambia.
