The MoP might seek to dilute the emission standards for TPPs notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in December 2015. The proposal to dilute the standards retrospectively comes after the central government delayed the implementation of emission norms by five years, shifting the deadline for full compliance from 2017 to 2022.
