Sterlite Power secures two transmission projects under TBCB

Sterlite Power has secured interstate transmission projects worth over Rs 30 billion under TBCB. While the Udupi-Kasargod project will decongest the interstate transmission system corridor and facilitate smoother power flow within Karnataka and Kerala, the Lakadia-Vadodara (WRSS 21-Part B) project, located in Gujarat under the Green Energy Corridors project, will help connect the wind energy zones of the Bhuj region to the load centres of Gujarat and Maharashtra. The scope of the Udupi-Kasargod project includes the construction of a 400 kV transmission line (120 km) from Udupi in Karnataka to Kasaragod in Kerala along with a 400 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation. The scope of the Lakadia-Vadodara project involves the laying of 325 km of 765 kV transmission line from the 765/400 kV Lakadia substation to Vadodara in Gujarat.
