GE T&D India Limited has secured an order worth Rs 900 million for grid upgradation from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited. GE T&D has won the order through a competitive bidding process and it entails the construction of three new 132/33 kV gas-insulated switchgear substations in Ramnagar, Manbazaar and Birlapur. It also includes the extension of three existing substations at Hurand, Sirakole and Indus by adding two bays each.
