Tata Projects-TEDA consortium completes construction of 500 kV line section in Thailand

A consortium of India’s Tata Projects Limited and Thailand-based TEDA Company Limited has completed the construction of a 41.42 km long 500 kV line section, which is part of the 78.5 km long, 500 kV Roi Et 2–Chaiyaphum 2 line in Thailand. The line is being constructed under the transmission system improvement project in the north-eastern, lower northern and central regions of the country, along with Bangkok. The project aims to enhance system security. Upon completion, it will support the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Power Grid, an initiative for establishing regional power interconnections between the Southeast Asian countries.
