Schneider Electric has opened its first smart distribution centre in the commercial hub of Mumbai. The company’s EcoStruxure architecture has been implemented to enable greater energy efficiency and provide real-time access to information across the supply chain. EcoStruxure will ensure end-to-end efficiency in industrial processes and sustainability in the logistics and warehousing environment. Energy savings of 10-12 per cent and an improvement of 5 per cent are expected in logistics efficiency. The company’s first third-party logistics smart distribution centre, this serves as a showcase for digital and green logistics operations in the region.
