The Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to invest in a THB 10 billion ($330 million) green bond issuance that supports the 260 MW Hanuman Wind Farm in Thailand. The bank signed a deal to invest THB 3 billion in the maiden green bond issuance by Thai energy company Energy Absolute PCL. The maiden green bond is the second Climate Bonds Standard-certified bond issued by the company. The proceeds from the bond will be used for long-term financing of the wind farm, which achieved commercial operations in 2019. Owned by Energy Absolute PCL, the wind farm is located in Chaiyaphum province and is currently the largest in the country.
