China operationalises Quancheng 1,000 kV substation in Shandong

China has successfully operationalised the Quancheng 1,000 kV substation, its first ultra high voltage (UHV) substation expansion project, in Shandong province. Quancheng is the main substation of the province’s power grid and a nodal point for transmitting clean energy. It is also the receiving substation of the Ximeng– Shandong UHV alternating current line project. The substation has so far transmitted 38.76 billion units.
