WAPP to construct central control centre by 2020

The West African Power Pool (WAPP) plans to construct a central control centre by 2020 for managing and operating the electricity grids of West African countries. The WAPP was set up by the Economic Community of West African States and has 14 member countries — Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
