KSEBL invites EoIs for power banking

Kerala State Electricity Board Limited has invited expressions of interest (EoIs) to enter into power-banking arrangements with power utilities and traders. This is being done to tackle power shortages of 300-400 MW in summer. KSEBL has decided to opt for a competitive bidding process to choose its power-banking partners. The power banking would be operational for a period of eight months from February 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020. The traders and utilities participating in the EoI should have the capacity to bank at least 25 MW for a period of 15 days to enter into a contract with KSEBL.
