Bangladesh’s Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved six projects in the country, worth BDT 73.12 billion, including a grid project for BDT 60 billion. The scope of work for the project includes the setting up of a 22 km long 400 kV line, 144 km long 230 kV lines and a 132 kV line of 242 km. Further, it would entail the construction of two 400 kV substations and twenty 132 kV substations. Post completion, the project will be able to meet the electricity demand of 21 districts in five divisions.
