Cambodian government invests $400 million in generation project

The Cambodian government has invested about $400 million to generate 400 MW of electricity by June 2020 in order to tide over the dry season power shortages. The government has procured new generators from Finland and Germany to be installed at a power plant in the Kandal province’s Lvea Em district. The generators will initially produce 100 MW by April 2020 and 400 MW by June 2020.
